Beginning Expectation

Starting out on a new journey is not a simple task. You will find that the greatest glories come from the most difficult struggles and meditation is no exception. You will want to find instant bliss as if you have been meditating for years, and this will not happen within your first few attempts.

First lets walk you through what to expect,your first few attempts at meditating will feel like the following:

Achievement

    • “I did it! I will be checking that off my list of things to do for myself today”
    • A little bit of disappointment
      • “how did I only meditate for 3minutes (or 5minutes) that felt like so long!”
      • This comes from seeing a guided meditation that is organized for 30minutes and feeling as if you didn’t complete your task
  • Confusion
    • “I don’t feel any different”
    • This leaves you feeling as if you wasted your time and that it wasn’t worth it
  • Frustration
    • This leaves you not feeling that “bliss” emotion you feel like you were promised and makes it not a top priority for the next day.
